Volgograd State Medical University
The Volgograd State Medical University is acknowledged by MCI India since it is included in both the FAIMER International Medical Education Directory and the WHO World Directory of Medical Schools. Numerous overseas universities have established links and ties with the Volgograd State Medical University. The World Federation for Medical Education, the World Health Organization (WHO), UNESCO, the British Council, and the US Agency for International Development are among the organizations with which Volgograd Medical University has collaborated.
Among Russian medical universities, Volgograd State Medical University rose to the top of the list. Since its founding, the university has drawn highly skilled faculty members with international teaching expertise. The University currently employs 763 highly competent professors and instructors, including 401 associate professors, 96 professors, and 11 academicians. The majority of them hold doctorates or other higher degrees. The University’s 66 departments oversee the academic programs.
Currently, the university is home to over 10,000 Russian and former Soviet people as well as 900 international students from India and 70 other nations. Every year, the university hosts about seventy foreign physicians pursuing postgraduate studies. Since 1962, foreign students have received training at the Volgograd Medical University. 3000 doctors, dentists, pediatricians, and pharmacists have received training for other countries throughout this time.
